Dan Seaton Brown • illustration

 

    Educated at the University of Wisconsin, Brown graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 and completed an Independent Study in Oil Painting later that same year.

 

     After graduation he worked in the Minneapolis print and advertising industries and thereafter began his career as a freelance commercial artist and illustrator producing artworks for such brands as Coca-Cola, Domino’s, General Mills, Dairy Queen, The Special Olympics, United Health Care and more. Among his illustrative accomplishments he has 3 children’s books, the “Impatient Pamela” series by Trellis Publishing, all of which have been honored with various awards including a nomination for the prestigious Caldecott Award. 

 

    In 1999 and 2010 he continued his education in Los Angeles at the highly acclaimed Mission Renaissance School of Fine Art learning the classical methods and  eventually becoming an accredited  art instructor. He now lives and works in Los Angeles as an artist.

 

    His artwork has been covered in radio, T.V., print and on the internet by such sources The Los Angeles Times, Google News, C-Span’s Book TV, Celebrity Magazine, Fine Art News Matters and score of others including being featured in the documentary film “the Way He Makes Them Feel” which is now available on iTunes.
